| " Many many moons ago I commenced my musical journey from an unconscious enjoyment of the 16-bit era of computer and video games. I'm from the Atari ST and Megadrive generation though I did play the ZX Spectrum growing up but there wasn't much in the way of music on it! Fast fwd a few years to the early to mid 90s and I started to properly get into music specifically ambient, techno and psychedelia! I started listening to the likes of Ozrics, Andrew Wetherall, Zion Train, FSOL and Aphex Twin. Without knowing it or thinking about it I guess within those early musical journeys were a lot of traces of dub although for a long time I was never really into it. Around the same time I started making music late at night with a friend in a small studio at school which had an Atari 1040, Cubase, Akai S1000, Roland D110, Roland U220, Mixer, DAT Recorder etc. Lets just say my early offerings were VERY experimental, amateur and definitely not for the internet lol! Post school I bought Cubase 3.1 (to run on a Pentium 486) , a Korg 05r/w sound module and Roland PCR-160 keyboard and started my proper musical journey where I've been honing my art ever since! I've run a number of nights over the years such as Blast Zone and more recently Woofer Attack! which had the likes of Whistla, Crises, Fused Forces, Underground Ice and GadManDubs playing just to name a few. Anyways that'll do as a biog for the moment. Hope you enjoy my music! Thanks The Bro " |
