Revolutionary Dub Gatherers in colaboration with Bass Driven Culture Productions are happy to announce "REVOLUTIONARY DUB GATHERING 2011 UK", a two days event in Glastonbury, Somerset on the16th and 17th of September 2011. Also will be raising awareness to a Jamaican project of a film of the name “STAY FIRM” ( By Jamaican Film Producer Amazyah) whose responsibles involved are currently trying to raise donations and funds to produce a 90 Minute Film ( continuing the one already started, that won an award for short film production ). This project, to which i will also be making a personal donation, is a nice community Film Project, from a producer that has won several awards and recognitions at the Reggae Film Festival in Jamaica. ( Versionist international Sound System outta Germany), Instrument Of Jah Soundsystem (With their powerful 40K, Jah Tubby's built Soundsystem), Kings HiFI, STUFF N TING ( outta TheBRSS krew) , El Bib (well known Producer having worked with the likes of U-Brown, Max Romeo, Winston Reedy, Dubcats etc- DubVibrations.com Dub Label - DJ / selection set), longside with Bandulu Dub (Portugal - Dan Dada Recs), GadManDubs (DubArk), Idread Selectah (UKReggaeGuide DJ / selection set), Digikal Roots ( Jah Powered Radio DJ / selection set), and more to be confirmed. To note the fact that the AFTER PARTY acts, DJ's and Selectas are not necessarily includeed in this list announced here in this press release, as it will include quite a few local talents like Shaunny D, God3, etc just to mention a few. So, expect many more local talents as well during the day Saturday Prince Jamo (Aka BlackRose) and Don Fe are a strong possibility at this point, and some more guest artiists throught the weekend to make guest apearances...
Along with that, representatives of the Rastafari Nazarite Library and from Great Amazement Multimedia & Entertainment ( the Jamaican Film Project ) are to be present on the night of Saturday at least, along with special Participation of Dub Poet Sis Caro, who will also be the face of the fundraiser and say some words about it all. This event will also be filmed and included in a documentary, as well as interviews to the artists playing, tradition of the gathering, plus info on the fundraiser. The event will take place in the TOR LEISURE CENTRE in Glastonbury,on the 16th and 17th of September, and will also have CAMPING AVAILABLE for those wanting to travel from far and wanting to stay for the weekend (*More info on camping details on the bottom of this page ). Starting on Friday at 8 PM till 2 AM ( Main event) and after-party with several acts, including some Experimental Dubs, Dubstep and even Drum and Bass for good measure later on the night, till Sunrise ); Saturday ALL DAY OUTDOORS ( 2 PM onwards ) and MAIN EVENT from 8PM till 2 AM; on Saturday the soundsystem sounds will go on ALL AFTERNOON OUTDOORS (weather allowing; In case of raining the event will continue indoors) and will include some more experimental sounds like some dubstep and some D'n'B crossover style, all bass driven, and turn into the main dub roots foundation tunes that the event is supposed to represent); All this in a massive soundsystem from our family Instrument Of Jah Soundsystem, and carry on to the night main event, where the climax of the night will be REAL LIVE DUB set by Ras B & Clapper Priest and Headlining bands Dubheart and UK legendary roots artist Wayne McArthur and The Universal Players, which will surely make it a positive vibrations and entertaining dance for all. After the main events, there will be an after-party on a secret location within walking distance ( to be announced on the nights), that will keep the party going till morning comes ( BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT- AFTER 2am).
